Description
White or cream-colored tablets with flat surface.
Composition
One tablet (0.5 g) contains:
Active substance – plant pollen allergic agent from 0.0001 PNU to 1000 PNU
Blister No.1 – 0.0001 PNU, Blister No.2 – 0.001 PNU, Blister No.3 – 0.01 PNU, Blister No.4 – 0.1 PNU, Blister No.5 - 1 PNU, Blister No.6 - 10 PNU, Blister No.7 - 100 PNU, Blister No.8 - 1000 PNU, Blister No.9 - 1000 PNU
Pharmaceutical aids: ascorbic acid, sugar sand, talcum powder.
Pharmacodynamics
Fixed plant-based combination “Antipollin” has double effect:
1) Desensitization of patient to etiologically responsible allergenic agent;
2) Immune stimulation of secondary immunodeficiency.
This helps to increase tolerance to responsible allergenic agent and prevent immune inflammation during sensibilization. Oral administration activates Langerhans cells, which control antigens in submucousal layer before their migration to local lymphatic nodes, where they act as accessory cells. Response of immune system moves from the model Th 2 and Th 1. Patient body decreases synthesis of ig E antibodies and stimulates producing of igG 4.
Indications
“Antipollin” drug is used for specific immune therapy of allergic diseases associated with hypersensitivity to plant pollen, such as seasonal allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, urticaria fever, dermatitis, bronchial asthma. Before the therapy patient shall visit allergologist and find the reason that lead to allergy, i.e. responsible allergic agent (one or several).
Contradictions
Children up to 5 years and patients over 66 years, patients with severe pollinosis, pregnant and nursing women, patients with serious organic diseases of vital organ, serious chronic infectious diseases (tuberculosis, brucellosis), endocrine organ diseases (diabetes mellitus, goiter), chronic diseases of connective tissue (rheumatism, collagenoses), oncological desiases, AIDS, mental defects.
Drug interactions
It is not recommended to take corticosteroids (hormones), beta-blockers, make prophylactic immunization against infectious diseases.
Special warnings and precautions
It is recommended not to take the drug during flows for women. Do not take tablets with alcoholic drinks.
Adverse events
Adverse events associated with administration of the drug are very rare and usually caused by overdose, presence of specified contradictions and violation of treatment regimen. In the case of itching in mouth, edema on oral mucosa, exacerbation of rhinitis, conjunctivitis, dermatitis and asthma, please, take antihistamine medicine and visit your doctor in order to change treatment regimen.
Dosing and administration
Treatment for all patients shall be assigned by allergologist before initial blossom of responsible plant. Therapy is started from small doses with gradual increase of allergic agent. Tablet shall be put behind the cheek and kept here until complete resorption.
Treatment includes three stages.
Initial therapy
Blister No.1 - one tablet every day
Blister No.2 - one tablet every day
Blister No.3 - one tablet every day
Blister No.4 - one tablet every day
Blister No.5 - one tablet every day
Main therapy
Blister No.6 - one tablet every day
Blister No.7 - one tablet every day
Blister No.8 - one tablet every other day
Final therapy
Blister No.9 – one tablet every one or two days after
If two types of “Antipollin” were assigned, first type shall be taken in the morning and second type shall be taken in the evening.
Drug form and packaging
Tablets.
Every package contains 9 blisters by 6 tablets in each. Kit contains 54 tablets. Every kit is packed into carton box with drug leaflet.
Storage conditions
Drug shall be stored in dry, shadowed place at temperature 10ºС - 25ºС.
