Description of product

“Antipollin” is a tableted medicinal product made of Russian and Kazakh allergens. It is indicated for the sublingual allergen-specific immunotherapy of allergic diseases: rhinitis, conjunctivitis, bronchial asthma, atypical dermatitis induced by hypersensitivity to allergens.

Pack of “Antipollin” is a standard kit which includes 3 consecutive courses: initial, principal and supporting. One pack consists of 9 blisters, 6 tablets in each blister; 54 tablets in total. Each tablet contains the allergen, from 0.0001 to 1000 PNU (protein nitrogen unit) and excipients: ascorbic acid, sugar powder and talc.

One kit is intended for the complete course of treatment.

If the patient has the allergy to some types of plants, it is recommended to prescribe no more than two complexes of “Antipollin” simultaneously, including mixed allergens. One complex shall be taken in the morning, and another complex shall be taken in the evening.

Use of local “regional” allergens has the higher effect. Allergens made of raw materials, growing in the same climatic and geographical region, are less specific to the population of other regions. The difference in antigenic composition of pollen and inflorescence of the same types of plants may result in diagnostic inaccuracies and, consequently, negative treatment results. Even when the “culprit” allergen is diagnosed correctly, treatment with the imported allergens may not have the fully expected positive effect in comparison with use of local (regional) allergens.     

Approximately 200 000 patients have received the pre-season prophylaxis with the medicine “Antipollin” over a 19-year period; the indicator of good and excellent results is 70-80%.
